Production team


Project Manager Shane Mitchell

Shane is a founding member of the award winning and internationally renowned Irish traditional music group Dervish. He is also co producer of one of Ireland’s most exciting and award winning new music festivals, Sligo Live. The festival attracted over 30,000 people to Sligo this year.


Series producer Anna Ní Bhroin

Anna is a former BBC presenter and producer she has also worked many media organizations in Ireland including TG4, R Na G, Radio Na Liffi and the River Media group. She has a degree language and media from the University of Ulster, Coleraine.


Technical director Brian Mc Donagh

Brian has produced many landmark traditional Irish music albums from his Magic room recording studios in Sligo where the Irish Heartbeat with Dervish show is recorded. He is one of the most respected studio engineers in Ireland and he is also an accomplished musician.


Radio engineer Rowen Rossiter

Rowen has a degree in sound engineering and has worked in the Grouse Lodge recording studio with high profile international artists from a wide variety of musical backgrounds including Secret Garden, The Stereophonics, Westlife, Snow Patrol and Irish music groups acts like Dana and Teada.


Musical director Liam Kelly

Liam is one of the finest composers of Irish traditional music and has been commissioned to write music for many projects, the most noted being a commission to create a new piece for the Irish national soccer team called “the Mighty Tribe”.
